Did you know that:

· The last race for Attorney General was decided by 323 votes?

· The 2006 race for U.S. Senate was decided by 4 votes in each precinct?

· 21 major Virginia elections in the last 3 years were decided by 5% or less!

What if in 2009 those 323 people decide the Governor’s office? What if 4 people per precinct decide the Governor’s office?

They may:

• Increase our taxes by billions of dollars to spend on failed public programs.

• Regulate church childcare programs out of existence.

• Appoint gay rights extremists to the Human Rights Commission.

• Make Planned Parenthood the leading provider of Family Life Education in our children’s classrooms.

In Virginia, every vote counts! We are not talking about political parties or particular candidates. NO! We are talking about advancing the pro-family platform through conservative values and principles. We need your help.

Winning Matters 2009 is our effort to identify and register values voters, educate them and encourage them to go to the polls and vote in November.

Winning Matters 2009

Step 1: Pray. The bible teaches that “unless the Lord builds the house, they labour in vain that build it.” Psalm 127:1. We know that in order to effect lasting change in our Commonwealth and nation, there needs to be a heart change that will only come through prayer.

Step 2: Identify and register value voters – we will assist you in conducting voter registration drives in your church, at Christian concerts, seminars and other events.

Step 3: Educate values voters to pick the right candidates.  Our General Assembly Report Card grades all of the General Assembly legislators on their votes based on the Pro-Family Platform.  We will also produce voter guides before the November election to inform Values Voters of where the candidates stand on issues related to the Pro-Family Platform.

Step 4: Turn out value voters. We will be encouraging churches and pastors to remind their congregations to go out and vote on Election Day. Our voter guides will also provide a good reminder for value voters to go to the polls.

Please consider how you can help in this effort. Number one, we need people to pray. We also need those who will go to their pastor and ask if the church will take our General Assembly Report Cards and do a voter registration drive. There is an immediate need for City/County coordinators who will work with people from various churches to help organize this effort.

Please go to our volunteer page and let us know how you can help.
